Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge in DeLeon Springs, Florida, Pat Young of Deland took this recent photo of a Barred Owl. Generally nocturnal, this one ventured out in the daylight to have its picture taken. (Thank you for the photo Pat.) Word has it that there are newly born Eaglets, Blue Herons and Sandhill Cranes at the site as well. Get out there and enjoy nature! Spring Break in Florida

Bobbie Tartaglino sent us this recent view of a Florida logging canal as she took a casual "Old Florida" boat tour. She said it lacked the personalized and more "up close" facets of our Gheenoe tours we will continue next winter. So photographers anbd birders plan to reserve your tour dates soon to lock in your vacation dates for our tours next winter and spring.
