Fort Clinch State Park

Fort Clinch State Park is north of Jacksonville, Florida. Built to protect the deep water port of Fernandino, it is now obsolete but a great historical and hiking, biking and birding destination. We were just there. It is featured in both our NE Florida hiking and biking books. Great trails!

Blue Spring State Park-Hiking, manatees and mountainbiking

Today we hiked the 8 miles of the Pine Island Trail in the park. Then we went to see some of the 199 Manatees that have congregated near the spring due to the recent cool weather. And, little known, is that there is a new set of mountain biking trails in the park. This park is featured in our Central Florida wildlife viewing book. Thanks for checking in.
