Camouflage - American Bittern - Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge

In Florida more wildlife will see you than you will ever see of them. Their job is to stay hidden from any predators, including you. Here you will see an American Bittern in the middle of the photo, if you can. We caught him at his most exposed position for this photo. you need a trained eye if you want to see such wildlife. When the wind is blowing among the weeds, he will even sway with the weeds to avoid detection. Photo taken in the last few days on one of our outings.
