Barred Owl, etc. at Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge

While observing wildlife at Lake
Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge in DeLeon Springs, Florida, Pat Young of Deland took this recent photo of a Barred Owl. Generally nocturnal, this one ventured out in the daylight to have its picture taken. (Thank you for the photo Pat.) Word has it that there are newly born Eaglets, Blue Herons and Sandhill Cranes at the site as well. Get out there and enjoy nature! LWNWR is featured in several of our Central Florida books for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing.  Thanks for checking in. www.RogerFulton.com
