The Yearling Trail
We just checked out this trail today to check its condition. It appeared in one of our last books, 25 Short Hikes and Interesting Walks in Northeast Florida as Hike #17.
It is in good shape. Side trails could use a little better marking, but we made it back from this 3.9 mile round trip outing. Took about 2 hours. Beautiful day!

Hello, I am a Language Arts teacher in Lake City, FL and my students are reading the book The Yearling, by Marjorie Kinnon Rawlings. WE will be taking a field trip to the Yearing Trail later this month. My students are 13-14 y/o, and I was wondering if you found anything else of interest in the area or the hike that could be useful for my students.
